Serious problems with OldWorld booting on a Mac 7300

Ah. Tried shift-booting, but after several attempts to get the thing to
register the fact that I was holding down shift, I gave up. ;)

Does the G3 count as a newer CPU? (In my mind, G3s are new; in everyone
else's minds, it seems, they're old news ;) ;) )
