configuring networking

Hi.. I recompiled mol after a kernel upgrade and am trying to setup networking 
using tun, something I hadn't done till now. From the output while mol 
starts, it looks like tun is configuring the networking:

DHCP nameserver exported: 216.169.160.2
Ethernet Interface 'tun-<tun1>' @ 00:00:0D:EA:DB:EE

But I don't seem to have any network connection in OSX.. do I need to have NAT 
enabled to surf the web while in OSX?
