Did a fresh update today and it still crashes in what appears to be
the same place.

Let me know what I can provide to you.

Recently, I also got access to an OS 9 CD.  It refuses to install when
a file is used as an HFS disk (it sees it as a floppy drive).  Suggestions
there?
