Mac OS 9 starts at 800x600, but drops to 640x480 when the Mac desktop show

So this is resolved in the latest version on Debian unstable. The 
solution was to use the Monitors control panel (which worked after the 
update.) Setting the monitor to 800x600 resolved the issue.

I would still be interested in knowing the fbdev setting for 640x480 on 
a first gen iBook, if anyone knows.
