Changing Video Settings

Hello,
I'm a newbie to the list.  I just started MoL and it started fine, however, 
the video seems to be only 8-bits.  I'm not exactly sure how to change it. 
I ran molvconfig and only said yes to when I actually saw something other 
that a blank screen.  I'm running Yellowdog 3.0 and OS 10.2.  Please let me 
know what other information you need, since this is my first post I'm not 
quite sure what info is needed.
