Using MOL under MacOS X

I have a question. Im using MacOS X and I kinda happy with it but I have
a problem. I have several programs that won't run under MacOS 9, but
require a PowerPC enabled Mac. I tried to run MacOS 8.5 in my iBook but
it won't even boot from the CD, I tried to install it from classic, the
installer runs and install OS 8.5 but I can't boot it neither through
classic nor directly (booting the computer from OS 8.5). I heard that
Mac-on-Linux can boot such old version of MacOS and I wanted to ask you?
Is there any way to run Mac-on-Linux in MacOS X (Through Apple X11) or
any plan to port Mac-on-Linux to MacOS X (Yes I know, OSX have the
classic environment, but it's ugly, slow and too limited in action. And
Mac-on-Linux is exactly what's needed in those cases like mine where you
need to run a version of MacOS earlier than OS 9 or you need to use a
device that classic doesn't support (And believe me the list of
applications and peripherals that can't be used through classic is very
long)).

P.D: I got the Apple SDK, if you know how can I recompile MOL tell me
what I have to do (note I'm not skilled in this thing about compiling
software using gcc).
