mol-bk won't build under Debian-woody

Exaclty same thing happens with SuSE 7.3, it has the assembler version:
GNU assembler version 2.11.90.0.29 (powerpc-suse-linux) using BFD version 
2.11.90.0.29

Btw, did you get mol working stable on RS/6000? I'm experiencing the same 
locking-up behaviour on my IBM 43p-140 as you did here ->
