mol-bk won't build under Debian-woody

It looked like being caused by some timing changes in one of the changesets;
Samuel gave me a list of changesets to try in order to work out where the
breakage came in. I think the 1.495 version was the latest that worked okay.
I was just going to try the current mol-bk, but couldn't compile it, hence
the current post!
