Well, the pegasos sound card is a 'soft-sound' thingy, as are all AC97
solutions, so it is normal that heavy load cause problems, since the CPU
has no time to process the sound stuff.

This is in particular made worse if you use the preempt patch, since
then the random application can preempt the sound driver, causing the
distorsion. The best solution would be to get a real sound card, which
doesn't leave all the processing to the CPU.

Mmm, it seems you already do that, since you use the SBAudigy, in this
case, make sure you remove the preempt patch, or if the problem
persists, post on the mol-general mailing list. Does the problem also
occur on heavy load without MOL ?
