microphone / audio-in

Hey all,

I'm a recent user of MOL. I was thinking that it would be useful for 
Remote Desktop Connection for OSX, as i have to admin server 2003 servers.

However, i have since found rdesktop, which is one of the most useful 
linu tools around, far superior to the original microsoft offering, but 
i digress.

My main purpose for osx, therefore, is gaming and skype. I know that 
openGL is too tall an order, and i'm not asking for that.

Is audio in a possiblity? I know it works with alsa, as i use audacity 
in linux all the time. I also talk to friends using gnomemeeting, and 
there are no problems. However, in the absence of being able to talk to 
lowly windows users, i decided to try my microphone in MOL, for to use 
with skype.

The OSX control panel says that there in no audio in device available. I 
have search the archives and googled a fair amount, but i'm not finding 
out how to toy with the microphone in MOL. I would love to starting 
hacking this, and if anyone can give me their expertise, thanks
