I used the provided RJ45 female to DB9 male adapter[1] and a U/UTP
network patch cable to map the debug port to a default RS-232 port. Pin
assignment for the adapter is mentioned in the "Extended instructions"
sheet.

1 DCD (orange)
2 RX (green)
3 TX (yellow)
4 DTR (black)
5 GND (red)
6 DSR (blue)
7 RTS (white)
8 CTS (brown)

From here any true nullmodem cable (DB9 female on both ends) should do
fine since the only critical pins are RX, TX and GND. Handshaking pins
are not needed.

[1] The instructions say the provided adapter is RJ45 modular to DB9
female. In my box the provided adapter was in fact RJ45 modular to DB9
male. If you really have the mentioned DB9 female adapter, you will need
the other pin assignment and a (patch) connection cable instead of a
nullmodem cable.
