Keyboard questions

Hey Folks, just have a few questions.

I'm using an Apple ADB extended keyboard on my performa6360 running YDL-2.0, and I'm just curious as to how I would move all the option-key functions to the command key?  my MkLinux box is setup like that, and I prefer it, having never remapped a keyboard, I haven't a clue where to even start.

And for my next question, how do I do ASCII characters in Linux, not a huge deal, but occaisionally, I have use for the british pound symbol (alt-0163 in the windows world, and option-shift-3 in MacOS, IIRC), I can't seem to figure this one out at all, of course, I haven't researched it alot, but I figured at least someone here oughta know  =]
