ypl 2.2 bootdisk creation causes fatal error

 Just had the same problem. Turns out the solution is on YDL front page
under 'Technical Advisory':

YDL 2.2 requires help with CD-R/W drives
When booting from the Install CD, at the < boot: > prompt (white text on a
black screen), enter:

[TAB KEY] (to stop the time-out)
install-text hdc=ide-scsi [ENTER]
('hdc' may not always be the device ...)

install-gui hdc=ide-scsi [ENTER]
