It's been here for a while. Have a look at

	http://www.innodb.com/

just one of several back-ends that can be used with MySQL, and now
included in the standard distribution. You have to enable it at compile
time, though. InnoDB is used by a site called slashdot.org, which I hear
gets quite a lot of traffic.
