Somewhen around 5:24 PM -0600 4/9/02, a person believing themself to

Many thanks, Dan. I just tried this, but:

Did I do something wrong?

A subsequent attempt at dist-upgrade yields:

-----
[root@rom1 /root]# apt-get dist-upgrade
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these.
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
glibc: Depends: glibc-common (= 2.2.4-19k) but it is not installed
   sane-frontends: Obsoletes: sane
   stunnel: Depends: /usr/bin/getent
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.
-----

I don't want to do the -f if the issue can be resolved by
more..."peaceful" means. ;-)

Going to bed now,
...ROMeyn
