Kernel 2.4.18 Compile Problem

I'm trying to compile the 2.4.18 Kernel that came with YDL 2.2

I'm getting the following error:

driver/macintosh/macintosh.o(.text.openfirmware_0x1554): undefined 
reference to 'set_backlight_level'

What's up with that?
