non-US keyboard doesn't work right in xfree

I'm not able to get the "AltGr" (Alternate Graphic) key to work under xfr=
ee=20
(it works on the text-console though), which is essential for any symbols=
=20
like "@|[]{}\". Everything else like "Umlaute" "=F6=E4=FC" works fine.
I already cheked the available HOW-TO, but still nothing.

This happens on a iBook(late 2001) 500, with YDL 2.2 and de (German) keyb=
oard.

It would be pretty cool if someone knew a solution, because I'm rather=20
deperated at the moment :(
