Hi -
I recently installed ydl 2.0 on a powerpc 7120/120. Kernel:
2.2.19-1k. Everything I need works _except_
the newtworking.. I am using the built-in ethernet device which I know
works when I boot the machine to the macOS. I am connected via ethernet
to another linux box which is running a dhcp server. The yellodog
machine seems to get an ip with the proper gateway and mask upon boot up
( sometimes). If its down, then I bring the eth0 device down 'ifconfig
eth0 down' and bring it back up with "dhcpch -d'. I get an ip address,
and I can ping my own dhcp generated address but I cannot ping the dhcp
server machine. Now the dhcp client when I boot to macOS works fine but
not under linux... sigh... The netconfig looks like some sort of wrapper
to ifconigi and dhcpcd anyway so that didn't help when I ran it asn set
up dhcp. Are there known issues with my hardware and this kernel... IF
so what kernel shall I compile? I have tried to set my Ip to something
static but I -_still_- cannot ping the other linux box.. Could someone
point me in the right direction.. Am i missing something basic here? or
are eth0 driver problems? Thanks ..
