Any good reasons to stick with YDL 2.1?

hi,

i'm running ydl 2.1 on a beige G3/233.  i plan on
making this my primary email/ftp server, but i'm still
in the learning stages, so i'm taking baby steps.  the
 only problems i'm having, so far, is that every time
i boot up my G3, i have to reset the monitor settings
- gets annoying after awhile, but at some point i'm
just not going to shut the thing down anymore.  for
what i will be doing, is there any good reason for me
to upgrade?  i'm also running ydl 2.1 on my
Blue&White, and i'm considering upgrading that, once
this 8-hour download of the ISO (via DSL modem)
finishes.

all help and opinions are appreciated.
