Thanks for the info Bill, it certaily lets xterm startup again. I can't 
tell whether it will enable starting the vnc-server from the YDL 2.2 CD, 
as I found a vnc rpm (vnc-3.3.332-1.ppc.rpm on rpmfind), that worked 
fine (xterm would't start - after the fix you posted it does) and lets 
me start GNOME. If I find wnough time, i will check.
