Qt Designer coredumps

Some time ago, I used apt-get to upgrade my system from YDL 2.2 to 2.3.

The process was quite smooth, I believe I only had one problem to fix, 
which was easily done. Thanks Terrasoft !

However, there is one other issue I'm facing now: the designer app from 
qt coredumps at startup.

If I issue command:

[janssege@g3ydl janssege]$ designer3

The splash screen of designer comes up, and then after a short while it 
disappears again, and the message

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

appears in the terminal I typed the former command in.

Issuing command:

[janssege@g3ydl janssege]$ designer

has the same result.

Does anybody else encounter this ? Has anybody got an idea why this 
happens ?
