YDL 2.3 apt-get needs to be updated before use

Hi,

I was having a bunch of problems with apt-get and updating
the problems on the 2.3 errata page:

 http://www.yellowdoglinux.com/resources/errata_ydl23.shtml


The problem is that apt-get itself seems to have a bug and
needs to be updated from the distribution version before many 
(but not all) of the errata updates will succeed:

  $ apt-get update
  $ apt-get install apt

After that, all is fine.

Mr. Yellowdog, could you add something to the errata page 
about apt-get? Reading through the mail archives, it looks like
I'm not the first and probably won't be the last who would 
have saved a lot of time if this known problem was known
a little better.
