IBM's Java Toolkit and YDL 2.3

You need to rebuild the kernel and enable SMP support and it will work. 
  Not sure why IBM required SMP support in the kernel (probably because 
their machines ship with it on by default.)

You can also use the Blackdown version (no JIT though)
