I wouldn't stress about having more stuff than necessary in php. Just=20
recompile it.
PHP is one of those things I find I just can't rely on packages for...=20=
too many options I need... my configure line looks like:
=A0'./configure' '--disable-cli' =
'--with-apxs=3D/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs'=20
'--with-mysql=3D/usr/local/mysql' '--with-pgsql' '--with-gd=3D/usr/local'=20=
'--with-png-dir=3D/usr/local' '--with-zlib-dir=3D/usr'=20
'--with-jpeg-dir=3D/usr/local' '--enable-trans-sid' '--enable-exif'=20
'--with-xml' '--enable-wddx' '--with-curl=3D/usr/local' '--enable-ftp'=20=
'--enable-mbstring' '--enable-mbstr-enc-trans' '--with-ldap'=20
'--with-imap=3D../imap-2002.RC2' '--enable-dbx' '--enable-dbase'=20
'--with-mcrypt=3D/usr/local'
and i need all those options....

I would like to try out this application but am wary of recompiling
php just to do that. I really don't want to have more 'stuff' in php
than necessary. Does anyone have the separate modules enabling ftp
and mycrypt available for YDL? If I can find them, then I can load or
unload the modules as needed, or not. I'm still using php 4.0.6.
TIA
