a couple of problems - display, not booting up

problem I

I have a tiBook with a yellodog partition. When I wake it up, the 
display
doesn't work correctly anymore. Things don't get refreshed in my 
terminals,
the cursor doesn't show up all the time.

problem II

After rebooting from jaguar, the yellowdog parittion doesn't seem to 
want
to boot. It dies very early in the sequence. I have to boot from the 
install
disk to get it working again.
