AFAIK it's a feature added to the PPCBoot firmware
(http://ppcboot.sourceforge.net/) of the Teron boards.
For some reason this addition hasn't found its way into the PPCBoot
source tree yet, so nobody but Hyperion Entertainment (the company that
did the patch) really knows exactly how it's done.
