This was too easy--of the two kernels in my MacOS System Folder, which are: vmlinux vmlinux2.2 I had the second one chosen in BootX, that was the one giving me problems. I assumed the first one was not even worth bothering with until just a few minutes ago, when I chose it in BootX. I'm now online in YDL Linux, and using mail! Ken
