YDL 2.3 install on a drive with 2.1

Any ideas about how I can install YDL 2.3 on an iMac rev c with an upgraded drive (Maxtor 60GB,  set as master) that already has YDL 2.1. The drives are already partitioned correctly, and I am fine with deleting YDL 2.1, just I do not want to re-partition my Mac HFS+ Volumes.

/dev/hda8 hfs  10mb     Bootloader

/dev/hda9 Linux-swap   256mb Linux swap

/dev/hda10 Linux-Root  around 8GB  Linux root
