State of MOL?

Anyone having problems building mol? I followed the instructions after
getting source from rsync. All phases of make worked except install:

mkdir /usr/local/man/man5
 /usr/bin/install -c -m 644 ./molrc.5 /usr/local/man/man5/molrc.5
make[5]: *** No rule to make target `0Status', needed by `all-am'.  Stop.
make[4]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[3]: *** [install-data-hook] Error 2
make[2]: *** [install-data-am] Error 2
make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
