but I'm not sure about your request for totally authentication free
connections.

this is kind of out of my league as far as web page design. I like very
simple stuff, so I can't really answer this. Quanta apparently started out
as a very simple HTML editor and has been progessively adding more
features. The thing I like the most about it is that it does add anything
to your code: you get what you write.
