Help! How do I correct messed-up monitor settings

There is a way to get it to boot into init level 3 (non-graphical user
interface) from
BootX, and it was recently on this list.  I use Yaboot, but I think it's
init=3 in the
extra options.

CTRL-option-F2 (or CTRL-alt-F2) may give you a text screen as well.

Once you can log on, run Xconfigurator and then you should be able to set
the
monitor to the correct type and reboot.
