Java with recent kernels

 Greetings gang,

 I've got a system that is currently running on a Dell machine (Mandrake)
that needs to use Apache/mod_jk. The machine I'm moving it to is a briQ,
so I can't use an older kernel to solve some problems I've seen in the
past on this list. So, my question is, has anyone managed to get Java to
work properly with a recent kernel. More specifically, with JIT? If so, or
not, any info on this would be much appreciated.
