Has anyone managed to build xtunes under ydl? The config step seems
to assume the existence of files which are not installed by the
corresponding redhat/yellowdog packages, and seems generall confused.

  checking for libcdaudio-config... no

Nothing like this this seems to exist in redhat/ydl.

checking for libcdaudio - version >= 0.99.0... no

Not true:
  $ rpm -q libcdaudio
  libcdaudio-0.99.1-5

*** The libcdaudio-config script installed by libcdaudio could not be found
*** If libcdaudio was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the LIBCDAUDIO_CONFIG environment variable to the
  *** full path to libcdaudio-config.

As above: nothing like a libcdaudio-config script is installed by the
libcdaudio rpms.

  checking for gtkmm-config... no

As with libcdaudio-config -- doesn't exist in the redhat packages.

checking for GTK-- - version >= 1.2.5... no

Again, wrong. I have 1.2.7 installed (under the newer gtkmm name --
there are no "gtk--" packages after 1.2.3).

*** The gtkmm-config script installed by GTK-- could not be found
*** If GTK-- was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the GTKMM_CONFIG environment variable to the
  *** full path to gtkmm-config.
*** The gtkmm-config script was not available in GTK-- versions
*** prior to 0.9.12. Perhaps you need to update your installed
*** version to 0.9.12 or later

As above.

configure: error: Cannot find correct Gtk-- version

After this it quits.

I'd love to have iPod access from linux. Suggestions?
