i recently downloaded and installed successfully kde 3.0.. In trying to u=
pdate=20
via yup or apt-get I received messages that there were duplicate kdebase=20
files. I ran rpm -q as suggested by Kimball at the Yellowdaog-newbies si=
te=20
and got kdebase-2.2.2-1d and kdebase-3.0.0-2b. then I tried to remove=20
kdebase-2.2.2-1d with rpm -e --testkdebase-2.2.2-1dToRemove and also rpm =
-e=20
--nodeps kdebase-2.2.2-1dToRemove and got the message that kdebase-2.2.2-=
1d=20
is not installed.=20
Running apt-get check yields :"there are two or more versions of the pack=
age=20
kdebase installed. I tried to remove the kdebase-2.2.2-1d package with=20
kpackage and it crashed and vanished from my computer.=20
What can be going on? Help appreciated.
