Though I have no direct experience with in, wxWindows 
(http://www.wxwindows.org/) is supposed to support 
Windoze/MacOS(9&X)/Linux(i386/PPC).  An example was recently discussed 
on Slashdot (http://slashdot.org) that was an audio editor application 
called Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)
