Hey there all, got a stumper here.

Performa 6360, stock processor, 136MB ram, Voodoo3 2000 PCI video card, compiled 2.4.18 to include the tdfx driver, configure X to use the tdfx driver, loading no X modules except for fonts (freetype, speedo, and one other), no GLCore, no GLX, none of the DRI or other graphics related ones. running at 800x600-75(maybe 60, 70, or 72 I'm not sure how to check), at 24-bpp, completely unstable, I can use X for about ten minutes, then the machine locks up so hard I can't even SSH in remotely to restart it, give it the three finger salute. Kick it back do to 16-bpp, stayed up for about 24-hours or so, now at 16bpp it's up to the same tricks a 24-bpp. This card works bloody great in the occaisions I'm in MacOS, and works fine on fbdev, but I'd really like to run this thing in accellerated X, as there's too many bells and whistles in X to enjoy a session without accelleration anymore (imho). so, all that being said, anybody out there have any ideas about what I can do to make this beast more stable using the tdfx Kernel driver/accel-X driver more stable?????
