After hours searching on google, manual looking throug maillinglist
archives with out a search function and trying every possible OF setting I
found this:
rsync'd 2.4-test4 gets stuck on my 3400 with CONFIG_BOOTX_TEXT=y
via quik (DEFAULT CATCH!..) _and_ BootX (no message at all),
so I do recommend
# CONFIG_BOOTX_TEXT is not set
regarding those oldworld macs.
(
http://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/2000/debian-powerpc-200008/msg00121.html
)
So I recompilede my kernel with # CONFIG_BOOTX_TEXT is not set
And it works now!!
My OF setting are as follows:
boot-file /boot/vmlinux-2.2.21new # my new kernel
boot-device ata0/ata-disk@0:0
boot-command begin ['] boot catch 1000 ms cr again
