usb printing ydl 2.2

Still getting the same error "unable to open USB port device file 
dev/usb/lp0: no such device.I tried lp0 through lp15 all give the same 
error.
I tried printconfig and tried CUPS alone and tried CUPS compiled with 
the Gimp print drivers. Everything always goes smoothly. No errors or 
dependency problems. No trouble going to localhost:631 and adding my 
printer. Only problem is that I can't get the box to see my printer. I 
did boot back into OS X to verify my printer(Epson 740) is ok and it was 
fine.
 I had no trouble with YDL 2.1, is there something I'm missing or is 
there a bug in 2.2? I'm sure that it is something really silly but at 
this point I just can't see it.
