Modem Woes on YDL 2.1

What dialup tool are you using?  I had lots of modem-finding problems
when I was first starting out with YDL and KPPP was the only thing I could
get to work.  Your modem device is /dev/ttyS0, in case that's the secret
you need...

Quite the can of worms, sound.  There's really no one magic
solution, but there's a thousand and one possible ones out
there in the yellowdog-general archives if you've got the
patience to experiment...
