YDL 2.2 and ext3

No noticeable performance hit on an 8500. I do have some fast 10K SCSI
disks though. I accidentally hit the power switch while taking off the cover
to the machine. It was comforting knowing that I wouldn't suffer any data
loss. In my opinion that more than makes up for a small performance hit.
