left field - from my experience, I noticed no increase in CPU time from R=
H=20
7.1/ext2  to RH 7.2/ext3. same boxes, same apps being run all the time.

If anything, it can be a godsend, and there's nothing like rebooting with=
 it=20
(no need for fsck) after a bad kernel implementation causes a panic and l=
ocks=20
up everything - especially on an 80 gig drive.
