Installing Problems with YDL 2.2 - Fails at reading local package database

OK, so i've given what was sugested a go (thanks for the info - good to 
know!!)  and have noticed the following system message after selecting 
the cd drive as the install media:


ISO 9660 Extension : Microsoft Joliet Level 1
kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k nls-cp437, errorno=2
kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k nls-cp437, errorno=2
ISOFS: Changing to secondary root

Any ideas what this means and if it could be the reason why my install 
is failing??
