more compiler problems

Can anyone explain this to me...

checking for KDE... configure: error:
in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!

Is this even English? I would like to be able to compile things, but I have no idea what this means.
