sound problem under yellowdog 2.2 on a G4/450

Try changing the sound depth for 8 bits 
in the sound server, in kcontrol center,
under KDE, and press test sound, it should
play some music about 5-10 seconds, enough 
to see if it is working. I did this on my 
Titanium G4 550 and sound seems fine now, 
even the volume control is working great.
