Run a process at boot time as another user

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but init.d script would be system 
wide thing that happen at system boot up.  I believe you can add things 
to .profile at least you can on unix to start when a user logs in.  
These will run in the shell and end when user logs out.  I wouldn't 
think you can have an item start for a specific user until that user 
logs in.
