KDE panel crashes, KDE 3

Were you using KDE before? My guess is there's something in one of your=
 config files, maybe a panel applet, that's causing the crashes. Try=
 deleting (or moving or renaming) ~/.kde/share/config/kickerrc. Or moving=
 the whole ~/.kde directory someplace else. Don't delete anything important!

If you have another window manager available, which you seem to, what=
 happens when you start kicker from the command line?
