I was just reading my post and realized that I may have embedded the
solution to your problem in my response.  Try going to the options
dialog in BootX and checking the "Use MacOS video settings".  Leave
"No video driver" checked also.  You'll be locked into the resolution
and depth of the MacOS system the last time you booted into Linux, but
you should at least be able to see your video.  If you want to change
your video settings, you'll have to boot into MacOS from BootX, change
the resolution and/or color depth, and then boot up again into Linux.
