ydl 2.2 bronze powerbook + wavelan wireless card ?

Hi,
I have ydl 2.2 on a bronze keyboard powerbook and have been trying to 
get my wavelan wireless card working with it. Unfortunately, the 
directions on ydl's site and on Paul J. Lucas' are both vague and 
sometimes contradictory. Has anyone been able to use one of these 
pre-airport laptops and a wireless card with any success? Thanks,
