Install on 8500

I'd like to thank everyone who offered advice and support. Hey, mailing 
lists really do work! ;)

I've got YDL 2.3 up and running on the 8500/180, I ended up creating a 
larger / partition, and choosing the Desktop (?) install, after failing 
  with Development Workstation. My guess is that perhaps it was a disk 
space issue. I did have to run fsck after a failed attempt at running 
KDE, but we're getting there!
