It reads the dependencies, then gets an unknown distance into the 
install, then barfs. But without that logging shell, I can't see 
*exactly* what is going on at that moment.

Yah, I'll be surprised if I get X running. But console should work, 
as I suspect these new ibooks are just speed-bumped versions of the 
earlier-in-the-year models, except for video.

Checksums are fine. And, these YDL disks have been used to install on 
other machines.

True, but Terrasoft should get some kind of award for the Least 
Useful Error Message Ever.

Thanks! I'll try that. I was trying all sorts of 3-key combos but 
missed the 4-key ones.

I'll let you know. My guess still is the installer is trying to 
install to swap. If so, you'll have to rethink your words on its 
quality :-) If bad media, I'll submit myself to list tortures to make 
up for it.
